Darling Tennis Center upgrades to LED

Energy Wise LED Solutions just recently completed an LED lighting upgrade for Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Darling is considered by many to be one of the "Premier" tennis facilities in the country with (22) lighted hard courts and (1) 3,000 seat stadium center court.

Since opening in 2005 the Darling Tennis Center has hosted a number of prestigious events including the ATP Men's Tour event "The Tennis Channel Open" which took center stage at Darling in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Each year the event attracted elite players such as James Blake, Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Querrey who won the event respectively. The Bryan Brothers won the doubles event two years in a row and made the finals in 2008.

Blane Curry: In 2013 the Darling Tennis Center hosted "The Party Rock Open" - a USTA Women's pro circuit event. In the final match Melanie Oudin outlasted compatriot Coco Vandeweghe 6-3, 6-3.

Highly inefficient 1,000w Metal Halide fixtures were replaced with 300w LED fixtures, affording incredible go forward energy savings of over 70%, while ongoing maintenance expense was all but eliminated. Light levels were increased by over 25% in the process, and the available NV Energy incentive will ensure a very quick ROI. Jeff Foley (Director of Tennis) states, "The new LED lighting is so much better than the older technology".

Energy Wise Co-Founder (Blane Curry) who is both an avid tennis player and USTA member is spearheading the Tennis Facility LED retrofit initiative across the country.
